Hypnosis & Mindset Coaching for Anxiety & Stress
You don’t have to become a different person to feel differently.
Why I work with anxiety differently
I don't see anxiety as something you need to fight or eliminate.
I see anxiety as a protective response, often a pattern that developed for a reason and can continue long after the original circumstances have changed.
Many of the people I work with are functioning well on the outside. They're responsible, capable, and used to keeping things together while feeling stressed, anxious, or constantly “on” inside.
They may spend a lot of time anticipating problems, overthinking decisions, managing their emotions, and trying to stay one step ahead. These patterns aren't signs of weakness. They're ways the mind and nervous system can learn to stay prepared.
My approach is based on a different idea: you don't have to force yourself to calm down before you can change. You can start by understanding what your mind is trying to do and work with it rather than against it.
How I understand anxiety
Anxiety can develop for many reasons, including temperament, life experiences, prolonged stress, and the environments we grow up in. When you grow up around emotions that feel unpredictable, intense, or unsafe, staying alert can become an understandable way of coping.
You may learn to:
- stay vigilant
- scan for what might go wrong
- anticipate what others might need or how situations might unfold
- keep moving rather than stopping to feel what is happening inside
Over time, patterns like these can become automatic, even when the circumstances that originally shaped them are no longer present.
You may be safe now, but still find yourself anticipating, analyzing, preparing, or staying on guard.
The result can be an “always on” mind: always thinking ahead, watching for problems, and finding it difficult to truly switch off.
This is what I mean when I say: you’re not broken — you’re always on.
Instead of treating these patterns as something to fight or control, I believe it can be more useful to understand what they are trying to accomplish and gradually create room for something different.
My own path with anxiety & stress
I grew up in a home where emotions could be intense and unpredictable. My father shouted often, and I rarely saw him calm.
My mother was anxious too, often worried and unsure of herself.
At home, I walked on egg shells and learned to pay close attention to what was happening around me. I never quite knew what might trigger another outburst, so staying alert became second nature.
My way of coping was simple: get away.
I left home at 17, and distance became one of the ways I learned to feel safe. Avoidance became another.
I became very good at postponing difficult feelings, disconnecting from them, or simply pushing through. From the outside, that can look like resilience.
For a long time, those strategies worked well enough. Until they didn’t.
Becoming a mother changed that. The demands, responsibility, and emotions of motherhood brought patterns I had been managing for years much closer to the surface. What had once felt manageable became much harder to ignore.
I began to understand that simply pushing feelings aside wasn’t the same as resolving them. I needed to learn a different relationship with my own thoughts, emotions, and inner reactions.
I had to learn to relate differently to my inner world, not by suppressing it or trying to control every reaction, but by becoming curious about what was happening underneath.
That shift became the foundation of the work I now do with others.

What changed for me
The work I’ve done on myself didn’t make me immune to stress, difficult emotions, or uncertainty. It changed how I relate to them.
I still have stressful days. I still overthink sometimes. I still experience uncertainty and difficult emotions. But I don’t experience them in quite the same way I once did.
I have more ability to notice what’s happening without immediately needing to escape, control, or fix it.
That experience is a big part of why I can now sit comfortably with other people’s uncertainty and emotional discomfort.
When you work with me, you don’t have to arrive calm, positive, or “ready to change.” There is no need to perform or convince yourself that everything is fine. We can start with where you actually are.
Training & Background
My training combines hypnosis, mindset coaching, and health and well-being approaches. I continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing professional education.
How this shapes my work today
My own experience is one reason I don’t approach anxiety as an enemy or something that needs to be forced away.
I don’t believe you need to fight parts of yourself to change.
And I don’t believe effective change requires you to override everything you feel or think.
My work is gentle, non-directive, and collaborative. Rather than giving you a list of things you “should” do, I create space to explore the patterns that may be keeping you stressed, anxious, overthinking, or constantly on.
I use a metaphor-based hypnosis approach inspired by Sajece hypnosis, combined with mindset coaching. Hypnosis gives your mind an opportunity to engage with ideas and patterns without having to analyze everything intellectually or work hard to make something happen.
There is no performance, no “doing it right,” and no requirement to force yourself to relax.
Instead, the experience gives you space to notice, reflect, and allow change to unfold at your own pace.
This approach can be especially helpful if you:
- think and analyze a lot
- function well on the outside but feel stressed or anxious inside
- are used to holding yourself together and handling things on your own
- want meaningful change without making self-improvement another source of pressure
